Security and digitalization in the agricultural sector

A major challenge in agriculture is to ensure that new and freshly purchased or older and used production tools operate safely with the lowest operational risks, minimum downtime and maximum availability. However, this is inconceivable without the installation and application of modern safety systems and digital infocommunications technologies.

There are a growing number of conscious farmers who recognize the tangible benefits that secure work machinery and infocommunications technologies can bring to them. Nevertheless, many have not even achieved the entry level, i.e. they still lack secure fire suppression systems and do not use tracking and monitoring devices for their tractors and other production tools.

Generally speaking, Hungarian agriculture is still characterized by the notion that digital and secure solutions are only used when absolutely necessary. However, they are becoming absolutely necessary as efficiency must be enhanced, particularly if even a single EU grant could fail for this reason.
